About

BSc. Sound Engineering is a three-year undergraduate program spread across six semesters. The program allows students to gain in-depth knowledge of Music Production, Live Sound, Film Sound, Game Sound, and the media industry. The Curriculum is prepared to impart holistic, experiential, and globally relevant knowledge in the Audio, Sound, and Music industries. Students will work on curated projects and be able to gain expertise in different aspects of Sound Engineering.

Sound engineering is a dynamic field but a relatively new area where degrees are being offered by Universities and Colleges across the Country. NCU has the necessary infrastructure in the form of specialized equipment and Studio coupled with experienced and qualified Faculty members to teach this course. The university fosters a collaborative and creative environment where students can work together on projects, exchange ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. BSc. Sound Engineering

10+2 (English medium) examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with an overall aggregate of minimum 50%.

  • Caution Money: A sum of Rs 10,000/- to be charged from each student seeking admission to the University in the Academic Year 2025-26. The amount is interest free and will be refunded to the students at the time of withdrawal or at end of their programmes, whichever is earlier, after deduction of dues, if any.
  • Alumni Association Fee: A onetime Alumni Association fee of Rs. 1,000/- for all programmes is payable by all students.
  • Industry Employability Aptitude Test Fees: Industry Employability Aptitude Test fees of Rs. 1,500/- is payable.
  • Youth Red Cross Fund : Rs. 80/- is payable by all students

FAQs

Sound Engineering is a mix of a creative and technical process. The creative process lies in capturing sound either in the studio or on location. The technical process involves mixing the sound either in a stereo mix or a surround sound mix for the theatre audience.

No its not mandatory. But if you have one, that can be really helpful

A batch will have not more than 40 students. By maintaining a limited student count per batch the student-faculty ratio and Lab sessions are kept under control.

We offer Degree, Diploma, Certification and other short courses in Sound Engineering and BSc or BA depending on the campus that you choose to study with us.

You’ll need a decent specification laptop, a monitoring headphone and a hard drive to store the projects.

Our Labs and Studios are open for the students during work hours on all working days except public holidays.

Yes there are internship opportunities for the students and we do provide placement assistance.
