Professor Kumkum Garg is a gold-medalist alumnus of the erstwhile University of Roorkee, (now IIT Roorkee) and has a doctorate from Imperial College London, UK. She was a faculty member at IIT Roorkee for 34 years and served as Head of its Information Superhighway Centre. Her research interests are in Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Dr. Garg has served as Director, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal and was the founding Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Pro Vice Chancellor at Manipal University Jaipur.
