The heat balance test and various projects and research are being conducted on this test rig.

AVL Smoke meter and Gas Analyser

AVL 437 Smoke meter and Gas Analyser AVL DiGas 444: These two instruments are being used to measure the emissions of exhaust gases to measure the five gasses CO, CO2, HC, O2 and NOx. Smoke meter is used to measure the opacity and absorption coefficient of exhaust gasses of various types of engine and the result is used for various research.

BMW ENGINE

BMW engine is used for demonstration purpose for Engineering students especially Mechanical Engineering.
