The Gurgaon Model United Nations Conference

The NorthCap University organized the maiden edition of The Gurgaon Model United Nations Conference on 26-27 July 2019. The guest of honour was Dr Ashok Divakar, Vice-Chancellor: Starex University, Gurgaon; Ms Jyoti Sharma, HOD Social Science DAV PS Gurgaon and Adv Sanjeev Saini, President SS Tax Consultancy Pvt Ltd. The guiding idea of TGMUNC was to allow students to experience multilateral negotiations, acquaint them with the United Nations principles and procedures and help them to comprehend how members of the UN achieve resolutions. The conference saw a simulation of 6 committees: United Nations General Assembly- Disarmament and International Security, United Nations Security Council, United Nations Human Rights Council, All India Political Parties’ Meet, Indo-Pak Meet and International Press. The event was coordinated by Dr Divyabha, Faculty Coordinator, Pranav Jain, Secretary-General and Rajan Sharma, Head of the OC.
