The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering organized their Annual Society Technical Fest –SPACE DAY-17 on 14 Nov 2017. The fest was inaugurated by Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Prem Vrat, Director-SOET, Prof. Ravindra Ojha, Prof. Pramila Goyal and HOD, C&EE Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra. The ceremony began with the lamp lighting followed by the launch of Second edition of SPACE magazine. The ceremony also included a talk by Prof. Prem Vrat where he motivated the students and earmarked a great beginning to the event. The audience was further filled with enthusiasm by a special cultural dance performance by a team of students and faculty which boosted their energy for the rest of the day. The new space team for the academic year 2017-18 was announced.

The day was planned with plethora of Technical and Non-Technical Events like Tall Structure- Basis and Design, Professional Talk on Seismic Design of Multi-Storey buildings by Alumni, Quiz Competition, Poster making Competition on “Infrastructure in Smart Cities. The day then concluded with a Treasure Hunt- Using Surveying Equipment wherein faculty and students participated together.
