THREE DAY EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON “TRAINING OF THE TRAINERS: AN INSIGHT INTO THE JUVENILE JUSTICE (CARE AND PROTECTION OF CHILDREN) ACT, 2015 AND THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019”
School of Law the NorthCap University in Association with District Legal Service Authority and Latest Laws Organized a Three Day Executive Development Programme on “Training of the Trainers: An Insight into the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and The
Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act, 2019” from 27th - 29th April, 2022. The CWCs, JJBs, Police Personnel and other agencies involved in the implementation of the above stated laws were the participants of the event. The objective was to sensitize and orient participants toward the JJ Act, 2015 and the POCSO Act, 2019. As well as to create clarity and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the JJ Board and law enforcement agencies involved in the implementation of the above mentioned Acts. The law fraternity witnessed energetic and mesmerizing sessions on Juvenile Justice from Kailash Satyarthi Child Foundation on practical aspects. Further, Child Sexual Abuse and its implications in lieu of the UNDP were elaborated upon by Ms. Shikha
Hundal, presently serving as a Scheme Coordinator & Senior Councillor in the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice. Moreover Ms. Vageshwari Deswal, an academician , jurist and an
activist, held another enthralling session about the POCSO Act, were by critical presentation of provisions of the Act were enumerated.
Dr. Pallavi Bajpai, Assistant Professor (Sel. Grade) and Dr. Unanza Gulzar, Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) were the organizers of the event.
