A workshop on IoT has been conducted on 04th September 2018 in department of CSE&IT for school students. The objective of the event was to create interest among students for technical education and to publicize the academic programs offered by various departments and schools of our University among senior secondary students. Getting acquainted with program objectives would help them to choose right field for their graduation. Total 30 students participated in the workshop. Out of these 30 students, 8 students were from Salwan Public School, Sector- 15 Gurugram. They were class XI students and showed interest in learning during the workshop. A teacher Ms. Asha was also accompanied with them. Rest of the 22 students were from S.D. Memorial School, Madanpuri, Gurugram. These were the class XII students participated along with their teacher. The number of participants were as per our expectation since we have the labs to accommodate only maximum 30 students. A workshop had been planned for the school students for the duration of 2 Hrs. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Prerna Singhal along with the final year student volunteers. The Director of School of Professional Attachment came during the workshop and interacted with students and guide them for choosing the right career after school. For the token of appreciation, Director, SPA distributed the participation certificates to all participants of the workshop. After the workshop, the refreshment packets were distributed.
B.Tech. third year students, Ansh, Aman and Anchit under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. Jyotsna, Mr. Sandeep and orator Ms. Prerna coordinated the whole event right from choosing schools, sending invitations, calling for confirmation and to conduct the event. Technical staff Mr. Akhand and Mr. Sujit helped the students during the workshop for kits distribution, connections and trouble shooting.
