An MoU was signed between NCU and Maruti Center for Excellence (MACE) on 11 April 2018 at Manesar Gurugram by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. HB Raghavendra and Mr MM Singh, Director, MACE. The intent of this MoU is to collaborate in the field of Training and Development of NCU students through practical and theoretical trainings and through projects during their internships. The collaboration extends to technical seminars and guest lectures also. This would be implemented in the following deliverables:

 

1. Industry Expert Session: MACE to conduct industry expert lectures on topics, FMEA, VSM, Low cost automation, Problem solving, and 5S, 3G and 3K;

2. Hands-on Training: on Basic and Advance Pneumatics, Basic and Advance Hydraulics, CNC Programming, Work Place Safety, and Preventive and Predictive Maintenance;

3. Internship & Major Projects: Internship coupled with live industry based major projects to be arranged at MACE and Maruti suppliers.

The framework of this MoU with implementation will provide UG students of the Dept of Mechanical Engineering a platform to enhance their technical skills followed by employability. Prof. Ravindra Ojha, Director, SOET & Head, Dept of ME, Mr Abhishek Pratap Singh, Assistant Professor, Dept of ME, and Mr DK Dewan, AGM, SPLTMS-2, MACE were present during the signing of the MoU.
