Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA)

On 1 August 2019, the department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, organized ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ as per the directive of Higher Education Department, Govt. of Haryana and Ministry of Jal Shakti. The prime objective of hosting Jal Shakti Abhiyan was to bring positive change in people for water conservation.

The event commenced with a poster making competition for students on the theme ‘Jal Sanrakshan and Jal Sangrahan’. Following this an awareness march was observed by students and the faculty of the department within the university campus and outside the campus at the Global Foyer open arena. Further, a street play by students of 2nd and 3rd year, CEE to spread an awareness for this noble cause. The event was orchestrated in line with the clarion call given by The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat addressed to the citizens to join hands for water conservation and create a jan-andolan such as Swachh Bharat Mission, to save water and secure the future.
